We receive daily calls and emails from people who want to be involved in the campaign to call a Constitutional Convention. The biggest challenge we have ahead of us now is the collection of signatures to qualify our ballot measures. We have listed other very helpful things you could do to help the cause. Gather Signatures

One of the most important activities you can do to help this campaign move forward towards our goal is to help gather as many signatures as you can. We must reach 1.4 million signatures to qualify for the November ballot and that cannot be done without your help. Click here to start collecting signatures!

 

Write a letter to the Editor

A newspaper’s opinion page is an important vehicle for community action and a beloved centuries-old democratic tradition. Make sure your community knows the importance of this campaign by writing a letter to your editor. There are certainly no shortage of articles to respond to - Click here to see a listings of recent articles on the Convention, or respond to an article in your local paper related to California's budget crisis. Check below for some helpful hints to get you started.

 

Tips for Getting Published

  • Read your newspaper’s submission requirements carefully. Virtually all newspapers have limits on length and standards of decency to which all letters must adhere for printability.
  • Target your letter so that it responds to a specific and relevant article from the paper.
  • Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number, so the editorial board can contact you for permission to print.

 

Speak Out!

When you hear a story about California's budget crisis on the radio, or read about it online, speak out. Call in to the show, or write a comment in support of the Constitutional Convention as the best solution California has to achieve the comprehensive reforms we need. Your help spreading the word is vital to this effort!
